Sandy Springs motorcycle crash results in fatality - Rough Draft Atlanta

A man driving a motorcycle was involved in a fatal, single-vehicle accident sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning on the Ga. 400 northbound exit to the Glenridge Connector.

A Sandy Springs Police Department (SSPD) spokesperson told Rough Draft that a 911 call was received about the accident at 7:46 a.m. on Nov. 1. Police officers, Sandy Springs Fire Department units, and ambulance service AMR responded to the call.

The spokesperson said the victim and motorcycle were off the roadway concealed by the cover of darkness.

The exit ramp was closed for approximately two hours.

Investigators determined the accident happened between 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, and 7:46 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. The driver’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation continues.
